Jose Manuel is an experienced immigration attorney who understands what it is like to navigate complex immigration agencies.
Although Jose Manuel was born in Mexico, he entered the United States in 1995 with a tourist visa. As a 9 year-old child, Jose Manuel overstayed his tourist visa with his parents, becoming undocumented.
Despite lacking lawful immigration status, Jose Manuel graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Anthropology in 2008. His undergraduate thesis centered on the immigrant community from Mexico in Clearwater, Florida. In 2011, Jose Manuel earned his Juris Doctor degree from Florida State University College of Law. Initially, the Florida Supreme Court denied his ability to practice law because he was undocumented, but Jose Manuel did not give up. With the help of his attorneys, Jose Manuel advocated for a change in law at the Florida legislature. In May of 2014, the Florida legislature changed the law, allowing Jose Manuel to practice law. Jose Manuel has been licensed by the Florida Supreme Court ever since.
Jose Manuel went on to study a Master's in criminal law at the State Autonomous University of Hidalgo in 2019. Jose Manuel is currently a doctoral candidate at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
In addition to his academic credentials and personal experience with the U. S. immigration law system, Jose Manuel has extensive experience practicing immigration law. Jose Manuel has over 9 years of experience defending immigrants and resolving cases. In addition to being licensed in U. S., Jose Manuel is also licensed in Mexico with experience in criminal, family, and civil law.
